As with EVERGREEN-3, it would be nice to have NNTP support for webmail.
Additionally, since there are many terminal IRC clients but far fewer for the web, particularly in a way that would be integrated with LBBS, it might be worth investigating the possibility of some IRC/bounder integration with wssmail, since this already serves as a single point of connection to the backend in the BBS from the web browser. A nice capability would be to be able to connect to the server on demand and be able to instantly resume an IRC session (much like a bouncer), i.e. a hard page refresh in the web browser would not cause any noticeable activity for people in IRC channels.
A simple pane could even be added for chatting in a channel. However, this is more of an idea still and not the primary focus of this issue.
