There is an IAX_COMMAND_MWI command in IAX2, but it appears to be a stub with no functionality.

This should be implemented so that MWI from one Asterisk system can be used by another system.

A separate issue but related purpose, Asterisk should also support being a server for SMDI, rather than just a client, so that Asterisk can be used as a voicemail server.
