This has only happened twice to me over the course of several months, but occasionally ~/.config/.oauth will nuke itself, i.e. go from having something to 0 bytes.

Not sure if this is because the server ran out of disk space when it was trying to update itself, or something else, but we should prevent this from happening, since it's annoying to re-generate all the refresh tokens for multiple accounts when this happens.
